Why Is Head & Shoulders a Recommended Choice for Oily Hair Management?
Head & Shoulders is a recommended choice for managing oily hair due to its specific formula that targets excess oil production. The shampoo effectively cleanses the scalp and helps maintain a balanced environment for healthy hair growth.
According to the American Academy of Dermatology, oily hair is often a result of an overproduction of sebum by the sebaceous glands in the scalp. Sebum is a natural oil that protects and moisturizes hair follicles.
The underlying causes of oily hair include hormonal changes, genetics, and environmental factors. Hormonal fluctuations, such as during puberty or menstruation, can increase sebum production. Genetics may predispose individuals to have oilier hair types. Additionally, environmental factors like humidity can exacerbate oiliness.

For example, consuming a high-sugar diet or experiencing significant stress can lead to excess oiliness. Regular use of Head & Shoulders helps to control these factors, providing a balanced solution for individuals with oily hair.
